Primary hyperparathyroidism with negative pre-operative imaging: a review of current and emerging localisation modalities

Introduction: Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is usually caused by a single hyperfunctioning parathyroid adenoma. Preoperative localization studies allow for minimally invasive surgical removal.
